Prospecting the Detroit River Scotts Middle Grounds near Belle Isle for smallmouth. Was a slow day until this smallmouth hit a top water bait at 12:30 PM. Never thought a smallmouth would hit top water on a bright day around noon. Threw drop shots, spinner baits and Neko rigs along sea walls and broken rock shoreline; nothing!
