7/26/23 Fished for bass in Lake Saint Clair. Started fishing Strawberry Island marker without a tap. Mid lake south of Metro Park produced three smallmouth. Fished the weed edges along the Sni Bora and Conger channels and caught both large and smallmouth. Many drum spotted in the sand flats. Found the first 2023 bowfin along with a few carp; the next fly fishing trip will be excellent. The bowfin was SHALLOW, so Micheal left the boat and searched the weeds where we lost sight of the bowfin. Swim jig, tube jig, drop shot and Neko rig caught fish.
