First ice fishing trip! Fished Miller Marina (10 mile road – next to the Coast Guard Station) with a minnow and bobber and a jigging Rapala (fire tiger or perch color) with a red anise bead. Started at 8:00 AM, the first 20 minutes was best. Fish were barely hitting the rigs. All fish came very close to the bottom. 2″ of solid ice. Water was slightly stained. Main lake was ice free.
