Fall Walleye on the Detroit River

October 2, 2024 //  by Kevin Johnston

10/1/24

Steady bite on the Detroit River. the Fall Bite has started! Vertical jigged off Windsor shoreline and found walleye, drum and smallmouth in front of the Canadian Club whiskey plant. Productive colors were black, chartreuse, watermelon and white. We caught nothing in front of Caesar’s Casino. Connected with musky by the sand piles near Peache Island but the fish came unbuttoned.

Monster drum aka sheepshead.
First walleye for this Texas angler.
Fat and sassy smallmouth.
Nice morning trip!
