Fall walleye on the Detroit River

September 25, 2024 //  by Kevin Johnston

9/24/24

Vertical jigged for walleye. Caught two small walleye along with three huge drum and three tiny smallmouth. Smallest smallmouth was 4″ long! Fished Fighting Island and Grass Island first. Ambassador Bridge was the only spot that produced anything. Brown wyandotte worm / 1 oz jig caught all the fish. Nothing on white, black or blue plastics. The fall walleye bite is just starting!

One of three giant drum!
