Afternoon bass on Lake Saint Clair

May 23, 2024 //  by Kevin Johnston

5/21/24

Fished Muscamoot Bay (between the middle and south channels of the Saint Clair River) in the afternoon. Didn’t find any smallmouth but saw six bass boats. Changed areas and fished the south channel shoreline and caught seven largemouth bass and one pike. Bass came on a Neko rigged Senko worm, the pike came on a 1/4 oz jig with green plastic. Fished from 6:30 to 10:00 pm.

Surprise pike!
Nice largemouth caught on a green Senko worm.
Last cast bass! They do feed at night.
