Early fall Sheepshead bite is HOT

September 25, 2025 //  by Kevin Johnston

9/22/25

Fished the Detroit River at the Ambassador bridge and caught eight drum, one keeper walleye and a yearling smallmouth using a 1 oz. jig. Fished from 4 pm to 8 pm on a clear, pleasant afternoon.

VERY aggressive smallmouth hit the jig.
